Who are we?

The Canadian Campus Food Security Network is a collective of food security organizations working on university and college campuses from coast to coast. We meet online bimonthly to discuss current challenges, exchange ideas and solutions, and build relationships.

The Network started under leadership from staff at University of British Columbia in 2021, shortly after Meal Exchange closed operations. Since 2023, staff at UofA Campus Food Bank have provided coordination support for the network.

Our inaugural 2024 Campus Hunger survey will inform ongoing national advocacy efforts to raise awareness and support for campus food security work. The survey runs March 25 to April 15 and is being circulated by individual campus services to their specific client lists. The data will be aggregated and published as a national report in Spring 2024.
